Transportation for Seniors
The Monterey Senior Transportation website offers information and available transportation options designed specifically to meet the needs of seniors.
Youth Discount Summer Pass
Youth ages 18 and under can ride the Monterey-Salinas Transit buses from June 1 through August 31 for a discounted rate of $38 using the Summer Youth GoPass. It provides unlimited rides on MST’s local, primary, and regional routes. Add only $1 cash fare for travel on MST’s commuter routes. GoPasses can be purchased at www.mst.org or at the Salinas, Marina, or Monterey Transit Centers. Call 1-888-MST-BUS1 for more information.
Special Medical Trips
MST’s Special Medical Trips provide medical transportation two days per month to the Bay Area. To ride you must make a reservation. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, and must be made by 5:00 pm the day before you plan to travel. Cancellations for any previously made reservation must also be made before 5:00 pm the day before you travel. Failure to provide advanced notice of cancellation may jeopardize future riding privileges.
Round trip fare is $40.
Personal Care Attendants registered with MST may ride with a passenger without charge. Other companions not registered with MST can ride when space is available for the standard $40 fare.

Each trip will originate and return to the Salinas Transit Center, Gate 9. Buses depart the transit center at 9:00 am and return no later than 3:00 pm. It is the rider’s responsibility to find transportation to and from the Salinas Transit Center.
