Mobility Program
Mobility Program Overview
Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) is committed to assisting seniors and persons with disabilities with receiving the same level of mobility and travel independence that other people enjoy on public transit. To this end, MST operates several mobility programs that provide transportation options that allow everyone to participate fully in their community. These services are funded partially through customer fares, but mostly through grants and allocations from federal, state and local sources, including public agencies and private foundations.
MST mobility services are divided into two major categories; an ADA compliant paratransit program (RIDES), and services providing travel assistance to those who do not qualify for paratransit services and for those who do not need to use paratransit services for some trips.
Information for these programs can be found on the MST website at the following links:

In addition, the MST Mobility Staff can be reached at mobility@mst.org or by calling the MST main number at (888) 678-2871. Inquiries and comments are encouraged.
The MST staff and Board of Directors receive advice from the Mobility Advisory Committee (MAC). This committee, and it’s ADA Paratransit – RIDES (ADAPT-R) subcommittee, are comprised of community members representing consumers and agencies and programs that serve seniors and persons with disabilities. All meetings are open to the public. Information can be found at: http://www.mst.org/mobility/advisory-committee/.
